We understand that visiting any church for the first time for anyone can be a little intimidating. To help make your experience a welcoming and enjoyable visit, here are answers to some questions that you may have.
Where is Crescent Baptist Church?
We are located in a storefront suite (building) on Holiday Drive in the Algiers neighborhood. Our suite is part of the Behrman Office Park located at the intersection of Holiday Drive and Behrman Place. The front of our suite faces Behrman Place. Our friendly members will be waiting at the door to welcome you.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code. Our ministry leaders and some of our church family dress in a more traditional “Sunday” dress. However, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable during your visit. We would encourage you to come dressed to worship the Lord!
What are the services like?
As soon as you walk through the doors, we believe you will find that CBC is a genuinely friendly atmosphere. During the services themselves, you can expect to hear clear, God-honoring music and fervent, practical preaching.
What's available for our children?
At each service, we offer a safe and clean nursery for children three years of age and younger. We also have other friendly and Bible-centered classes for the older children. This will allow you to enjoy the service with comfort knowing that your children are being ministered unto as well.
What religious group is CBC a part of?
Crescent Baptist Church is not affiliated with, or under the authority of, any denominational organization. Instead, the Bible is our sole and final authority for all of our decisions regarding belief and practice. In other words, we are a Baptist church that is independent in our authority and fundamental in our doctrine.
What is CBC about?
The mission of Crescent Baptist Church is to honor God and help people by fulfilling the great commission according to Matthew 28:19-20....seeing people saved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, baptized and trained to go and reach others. This is to be done across the street and around the world. For that reason, we support missionaries around the globe who are on the same mission.
